Mississippi Passenger ELDT – P Endorsement Training

The Passenger ELDT is FMCSA-mandated theory training for anyone applying for a P endorsement on their CDL. It covers passenger-vehicle operation, safety, and regulations. You need it before taking your skills test with MS DPS. If your CDL was issued before February 7, 2022, you're grandfathered in — no ELDT required. But if you're upgrading your license or adding the P endorsement after that date, you must complete the course.

The Passenger ELDT is $20. That's the lowest price for FMCSA-approved Passenger training — other providers typically charge $23–$75 for the same course. If you're adding multiple endorsements, consider the 3-Endorsement Bundle (Hazmat + Passenger + School Bus) for $50 and save $10.

Most students finish the Passenger ELDT in under 2 hours. You can work through it at your own pace, anytime, on any device. Once you pass, your completion is automatically submitted to FMCSA's Training Provider Registry within 24 hours.
