Who needs ELDT for these endorsements?+
Anyone obtaining a new CDL or adding an H, P, or S endorsement on or after February 7, 2022 must complete FMCSA-approved ELDT. If your original CDL was issued before February 7, 2022, you're grandfathered and don't need ELDT. However, any new endorsement added after that date still requires ELDT, even if your base CDL doesn't.
