Ohio Passenger ELDT - Get Your P Endorsement

The Passenger ELDT covers safe operation of vehicles designed to carry 16 or more passengers, including pre-trip inspection, passenger management, and emergency procedures. You need it if you're applying for a P endorsement with the Ohio BMV. If your CDL was issued before February 7, 2022, you're grandfathered and don't need ELDT. If you're upgrading or getting a new CDL after that date, Passenger ELDT is mandatory.

Yes. DLA Academy is FMCSA-approved and listed on the Training Provider Registry. When you complete Passenger ELDT, we auto-submit your certificate to FMCSA TPR within 24 hours. The Ohio BMV will be able to verify your completion when you apply for your skills test.

The Ohio BMV requires you to complete FMCSA-approved ELDT, pass the Passenger knowledge test, and pass the CDL skills test (which you'll arrange with a local CDL testing facility). After you finish our Passenger ELDT, you'll have the documentation the Ohio BMV needs. For TSA Hazmat fingerprinting (if applicable), you'll enroll through IDEMIA directly.
