Florida is the only state where Hazmat TSA fingerprinting goes through the state's driver license offices rather than IDEMIA's Universal Enroll system. Schedule TSA fingerprinting through Florida HSMV, not the standard IDEMIA TSA enrollment process used in the other 48 covered states. Source: www.flhsmv.gov

Florida CDL Requirements — Quick Reference
To get any Commercial Driver's License in Florida you'll work through Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). Federal ELDT requirements apply across all 49 states — DLA Academy's online theory courses satisfy the ELDT mandate, and behind-the-wheel training (where required for CDL A or CDL B) must be completed locally at an FMCSA-registered BTW provider.
Florida is the one known exception — TSA Hazmat fingerprinting is handled by Florida driver license offices (not IDEMIA). Applicants schedule the print at an FLHSMV office, not an IDEMIA enrollment center.
Apply for your CLP, schedule skills tests, and verify ELDT submission through your state agency's CDL portal.
