Will PennDOT accept these courses?+
Yes. DLA Academy is FMCSA-approved and listed on the Training Provider Registry. Completion of each course is automatically submitted to FMCSA within 24 hours, and PennDOT Driver and Vehicle Services recognizes FMCSA-approved ELDT. You'll have proof of completion immediately after finishing each course.
Who is required to take ELDT for endorsements?+
If you're obtaining a Commercial Driver License (CDL) for the first time, or upgrading to a different class of CDL after February 7, 2022, you must complete FMCSA-approved ELDT for any endorsement you want to add. If your CDL was issued before February 7, 2022, you're grandfathered in and don't need ELDT for those endorsements — but any new endorsements added after that date do require it.
